Okay this was our family home evening for last week.  I decided that really fresh apples would make the best pie for Brynn, so we went to Holmberg Orchards to pick apples.  The girls had so much fun!  We talked about faith and how the apple trees come from a seed and likened that to faith.  I was very impressed with how much the girls understood the message.

Brynn's Birthday

Thank you to everyone who wished Brynn a happy birthday, she enjoyed the cards, phone calls, and the message left to her via "the blog".  It was a great day for her and for us here are some of the pictures from her dinner.  She wanted apple pie instead of cake, and she took cupcakes to her class.  The missionaries came for dinner and she really enjoyed them as well.  Good times.

Butterflies everywhere

Today we went to Holdridges.  It is a garden store.  They released a bunch of Monarch Butterflies, it was somewhat of a let down.  The way it was advertised led us to believe that there would thousands of them released at one time.  Well, maybe 50 were released, but the girls enjoyed it, and we got some really cool pictures of the butterflies.

Here are some pictures of soccer practice this week....Brynn is starting to enjoy it more, and Keagyn wishes she was playing, arghhh the joys of motherhood.  Aury is simply happy to be wherever her family is.

Happy Birthday Brynn!!!

Brynn has officially turned 6!!!!  I am so impressed with this lovely young lady that I have in my home.  She is an amazing girl, with tons of courage, spunk and love.  She is one great helper around the house, always pitching in to help her little sisters, mom and dad.  She loves going to first grade, coming home and doing homework.  Her favorite class is gym, she loves to be active.  Anything physical makes her happy.  She has a  beautiful singing voice, and has already lost 5 teeth!!!  She is the best 2 wheel bike rider that I have seen in our neighborhood, and her favorite colors are dark blue, dark red and dark purple.  I love Brynn and our family wouldn't be complete without her.

My cousin Melissa tagged me and I found out some really funny things about her that I never knew.

1)  Keagyn is a thumb sucker, not to interesting, but she has to have skin with it.  Not her own, but someone else's, namely mine.  No matter where we are, at home, school, church.  She is known to lift up my shirt, untuck my garments and "get skin".  I find it annoying, she loves it.

2)  Brynn can make her nubby talk, it is hillarious!!!

3)  Auryana loves to eat paper, it makes her so happy, the feel of it in her mouth and the crinkly noise that it makes.

4)  Destry hates scary movies, he won't watch them unless it is daytime and he has plenty of time to distract himself from the scenes.

5)  We just bought a Nintendo Wii and love playing it as a family, it is great fun, mom usually wins at bowling(I am amazing).

6)  I still haven't completely unpacked a single room in our house.  We also haven't finished any of the projects that we have started, well the roof is done, but there is only one side of the house that is painted, the ceilings still have to be painted, the trim, and we have almost lived here for a year.  Pathetic I know.
